Cookie Policy
This site sets no cookies
Not functional ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to. If you inspect the cookie jar for cryptoguardz.com after reading every page here, it will be empty.
There is also no analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, no self-hosted counter. We do not know how many people read this page, and we have decided that not knowing is cheaper than the alternative.
What is kept in your browser
Two values, in localStorage. They are written by your browser, read by your browser, and never transmitted to us or to anyone else. They are not cookies and are never attached to a request.
| Key | Written when | Holds | Removed by |
|---|---|---|---|
| cg_theme | You use the light or dark toggle | The word light or dark | Clearing site data |
| cg.lang.dismissed | You dismiss the offer of another language | The digit 1, so we stop offering | Clearing site data |
Block both and the site works. You will get the theme your operating system asks for, and the language offer will appear again on your next visit.
The one request that leaves this site
Pages load three typefaces from Google Fonts, at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. That request carries your IP address and your user agent to Google, as any request to any server does, and it is governed by Google’s own policy rather than this one. It sets no cookie. It is the only third-party host any page here contacts, and we are stating it because a policy that says “no third parties” while contacting one would be the same failure as the version of this page we replaced.
If you click through to an operator
Whatever that operator sets is theirs and their policy governs it. No outbound link on this site carries affiliate tracking today, which is recorded in full on our disclosure page. If that changes, this page changes with it and the change is logged in the change log.
What this page used to say
Until 24 September 2026 this page listed four cookies and an analytics consent prompt. None of them existed. The error is recorded on the corrections page, because a register that logs other people’s contradictions and hides its own is not a register.
