Affiliate disclosure
CryptoGuardz holds commercial affiliate relationships with 3 of the 24 operators on this register, and being paid through them is the intended business model. This page names them.
No outbound link on this site carries affiliate tracking today. Every operator link points at a terms, policy or about page and is marked nofollow sponsored because the destination could be monetised, not because it currently is. We have earned nothing from a reader signing up, because there is nothing in the build for a reader to sign up through. When that changes this paragraph changes with it and the change is recorded in the change log on the day it happens. We would rather over-disclose than describe a payment that is not yet happening in the present tense.

What stops it affecting a rating
Three mechanisms, all of them in the code instead of in a promise.
The scoring function does not receive the partner flag. It cannot weight something it is not given. The flag controls one thing only: whether the disclosure banner renders on a page.
Operator data files are required to carry a null score. The build fails on any file with a hand-written one, so a score cannot be set by a person at all.
A negative status requires documented evidence attached to it. The build refuses to publish a flagged operator with no cited contradictions or complaint data, which cuts both ways: it stops us flagging a competitor without proof, and it means a partner’s clean status has to be earned by the same evidence as anyone else’s.
The test this actually faces
Several operators currently on the register are commercial partners and are on the watchlist, placed there by the formula and not by a decision. If you find a case where a partner’s page reads more kindly than its evidence supports, that is a failure of this policy and we want to hear about it through corrections.
Links
Outbound links are marked by what they are, in three classes. A link to an operator may carry affiliate tracking and is marked nofollow sponsored, which is the declaration that it could have been placed for payment. A link to a third-party source, a review platform or a forum thread is marked nofollow ugc: cited as evidence, not endorsed.
A link to an issuing authority’s own register, a licence validator or a statutory body is a plain followed link and carries no tracking. Marking a regulator’s public register as sponsored would say the link was placed for payment, which is false, and it would say it about the one link on the page that demonstrates the licence was actually checked. A citation should cost the reader nothing and gain us nothing, and it should also not misdescribe itself.
The payout index carries no affiliate links at all. A dataset that sells something stops being quotable.
