Status is assigned from the same evidence whichever market you read the register in, but what an offshore operator is being compared against is your own regulator. These are the register pages written for ten of them.
How an operator lands here
Statuses are derived from the evidence on each operator’s page by the rules published at our methodology page. Commercial relationships are not an input to that decision: the scoring function never receives the partner flag, and the build rejects any operator file carrying a hand-written score.
Watchlist does not mean an operator is a scam and we are careful about that distinction. It means something material is either unconfirmed or contradicted: a licence term that has lapsed, a marketing claim the operator’s own terms deny, or conflicting statements about which company actually runs the site.
Most operators we review land here, at least initially. That is a fact about how much of this industry’s public information fails to survive being checked against its own paperwork, and not a verdict we are keen to hand out.
