In short, from the documents

Who owns Stake: what the filings show

Stake.com is operated by Medium Rare N.V., Curacao company 145353, and Stake.us by Sweepsteaks Limited, Cyprus HE436222. Easygo Group Holdings Pty Ltd in Melbourne names Stake and Kick as its brands. Forbes reports Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani split the business 50/50; no company register we could read names the shareholders.

Stake is owned, according to every public document that names anyone, by Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani through the Easygo group in Melbourne. Stake.com itself is run by Medium Rare N.V., Curacao company 145353, and Stake.us by Sweepsteaks Limited, Cyprus company HE436222. Forbes reports the business is "split 50/50" between the two founders. No company register this desk could read on 8 October 2026 states who holds the shares.

That gap is the point of this page. The brand on the shirt, the company on the licence and the people on the rich list are three different layers, and only the first two are written down where a player can check them.

Which company operates Stake.com?

Medium Rare N.V., a Curacao company. Clause 1.1 of the Stake.com terms, read on 8 October 2026, says:

Stake.com is owned and operated by Medium Rare, N.V., a company with head office at Seru Loraweg 17, B, Curaçao.

The same clause names the licence: "Medium Rare N.V. is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under license number OGL/2024/1451/0918." The site footer adds the registration number, 145353.

The Curacao Gaming Authority's own registry of 16 September 2026 carries the same company and number, but not the same picture of the licence:

191. OGL/2024/1451/0918 Medium Rare N.V. B2C 145353 December 09, 2025 June 09, 2026 Assessment in progress

Curacao Gaming Authority online gaming licence registry, 16 September 2026

The registry has no column for directors, shareholders or domains. It names the licensee and nothing above it. The status gap between the terms and the registry is tracked on the Stake entry and on the Curacao licence status page.

Clause 1.1 also names two Cyprus companies that handle payments, both described as "wholly owned subsidiaries" of Medium Rare N.V.:

CompanyRole in the termsRegistrationAddress in the terms
Medium Rare N.V.Owner and operator, licenseeCuracao 145353Seru Loraweg 17 B, Curacao
Medium Rare LimitedPayment processing subsidiaryCyprus HE 410775Agioi Omologites, Nicosia
MRS Tech LtdPayment processing subsidiaryCyprus HE 477481Pervolia, Larnaca
Sweepsteaks LimitedOwner and operator of Stake.usCyprus HE436222Perivolia, Larnaka

The register entry for Stake, last reviewed in September, recorded the two payment agents with "no jurisdiction or registration number disclosed". The terms read on 8 October 2026 now give both numbers. That is a change in the operator's documents, not a correction by this desk.

Which company operates Stake.us?

Sweepsteaks Limited, a Cyprus company. Section 1 of the Stake.us terms:

The Platform is provided by Sweepsteaks Limited, a company duly incorporated under Cyprus law, with the register number HE436222 and registered office at 7 Patrikiou Loumoumba, Block A, Office A13, 7560 Perivolia, Larnaka, Cyprus

Stake.us terms of service, section 1, retrieved 2026-10-08

The Stake.us terms name no parent. They refer only to "affiliates, subsidiaries, ultimate parent and parent companies" without naming one. Sweepsteaks Limited shares a street and a block with MRS Tech Ltd, the Stake.com payment subsidiary at Patrikiou Loumoumpa 7, Block A, Pervolia. The address is the only link the two sets of terms themselves show.

The Cyprus Department of Registrar of Companies search returned a robots block on both attempts, so the directors and shareholders of Sweepsteaks Limited, Medium Rare Limited and MRS Tech Ltd are not verified here. The Stake.us sweepstakes model is covered on the Stake.us check.

Where does Easygo fit?

Easygo is the Australian group the Stake brands sit under, on Easygo's own account. The copyright line on easygo.io names "Easygo Group Holdings Pty Ltd", and the page lists Stake, Kick, Stake Engine and Easygo Games as its brands. Its own description:

Easygo is the Australian powerhouse behind the most popular online casino

Easygo homepage, retrieved 2026-10-08

"Most popular" is Easygo's claim, unmeasured. What the Australian Business Register shows is narrower and checkable:

EntityABNActive fromACNLocation

Easygo Group Holdings Pty Ltd50 676 669 6861 May 2024676 669 686VIC 3000

All four are recorded as Australian private companies. The ABR does not publish directors or shareholders. ASIC does, through paid extracts, and the free ASIC Connect search returned an empty page to this desk's fetch. The officeholders of these four companies are therefore not verified from ASIC.

A further eight Easygo entities registered in Melbourne's VIC 3000 postcode appear in the ABR search, including Easygo IP Holdings, Easygo Service Holdings and Easygo Tech. The register alone does not prove they belong to the same group, so they are left out of the table.

The Florida Attorney General's complaint of 19 August 2026 puts the relationship in pleading form. Paragraph 8 alleges that "Easygo is the primary corporate entity behind the Stake brand and owns, operates, manages, controls, and directs the Stake platform". Paragraph 9 alleges that "Medium Rare operates the Stake platform as part of the same global enterprise". These are allegations in a complaint, untested by any court.

Who are Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani?

The two co-founders of Easygo and Stake. Forbes, in a profile first published on 7 June 2024, says the pair founded Easygo in spring 2016 with 18 employees, that "Easygo launched Stake the following year", and that the company is:

still self-funded and split 50/50 between Craven and Tehrani

Forbes, 7 June 2024, updated 31 March 2025

That 50/50 split is the only ownership percentage this desk found in a named publication. It is Forbes's reporting, not a register entry, and it has not been confirmed against an ASIC shareholder extract.

The Florida complaint goes further, at paragraph 14: "Defendants Tehrani and Craven co-founded, wholly own, and control Easygo and its affiliated entities". Again an allegation. The same complaint names Sweepsteaks Ltd., Easygo Group Holdings Pty Ltd., Medium Rare N.V. and Kick Streaming Pty Ltd. as defendants alongside the two men. That litigation, and the separate Virginia class action, are covered in the Stake.us lawsuits and the Drake Stake lawsuit.

Ed Craven net worth: what the rich lists publish

This desk does not estimate anyone's wealth. These are the figures named publications have printed, with their dates:

PublicationFigurePersonDate
Forbes, real-time profileUS$2.2 billionEd Cravenas of 3 Oct 2026
Forbes, real-time profileUS$2.2 billionBijan Tehranias of 7 Oct 2026
Forbes 2026 Billionaires listrank 1913each2026 list
Forbes articleUS$1.3 billion estimated, eachboth7 Jun 2024

The two Forbes profiles describe the source of wealth in identical words, "Online casino, Self Made". The Australian Financial Review publishes its own Rich List and Young Rich List, which are widely quoted for Craven's figure. The AFR site blocked this desk's fetch on both attempts, so no AFR figure is reproduced here: not verified.

Forbes does not publish its method on the profile pages. A rich-list figure for a private company with no published accounts is a journalist's estimate, and the table should be read that way.

How much revenue does Stake make?

Three figures are in print, from two sources, for different things.

FigureWhat it measuresPeriodSource
US$2.6 billionStake revenue2023Forbes, 7 Jun 2024
US$4.7 billionStake.com gross revenue2024Forbes profile of Bijan Tehrani
A$970 million revenue, A$257 million profitEasygo Group Holdings accountsyear to 30 June 2025The Australian, citing ASIC filings, as reported by SBC News, 23 Dec 2025

Forbes also reports that "between 2020 and 2022, Stake's gross gaming revenue rose from around $100 million to more than $2 billion". None of the Forbes figures cites a filing, and Medium Rare N.V. publishes no accounts. They are reported estimates.

The Easygo figure comes from statutory accounts lodged with ASIC, but this desk read it second-hand: The Australian is paywalled, and the ASIC document itself was not retrieved. The Australian company's revenue and Stake's gross revenue are not the same number and should not be compared as if they were. Which entity books the casino's gaming revenue is not disclosed. The economics behind those numbers are set out in how a crypto casino makes money.

Is Kick owned by the Stake founders?

The documents point the same way without a register saying so. Easygo's own homepage lists Kick as one of its brands. The ABR shows Kick Streaming Pty Ltd active from 14 November 2022 in the same Melbourne postcode as the Easygo companies. Formula1.com reported on 15 December 2023 that Sauber would race as "Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber" in 2024 and 2025, with Kick holding the chassis name. The Florida complaint alleges at paragraph 11 that "Kick operates as part of the integrated Stake enterprise under the common ownership and control of Defendants Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani".

Kick's own terms and privacy pages did not render a company name to this desk's fetch on either attempt, so the Kick operating entity is not verified from Kick's documents. Forbes reported in 2024 that the founders "used some of their Stake riches to launch Kick". The Formula1.com article said the Stake and Kick name would run for two seasons "before rebranding as Audi in 2026".

What this does not show

The shareholders of Medium Rare N.V. The Curacao Chamber of Commerce site refused this desk's fetch under robots rules, and the CGA registry has no owner column. The directors and shareholders of any Easygo company, which sit behind a paid ASIC extract. Whether the 50/50 split Forbes reported in 2024 still holds in October 2026. Any AFR Rich List figure. Each of these is not verified.

Nothing in these filings bears on whether Stake pays out. That is in the register entry, the Curacao licence tracker, and is Stake legit. The ownership pattern for the other 23 register operators is in who owns the crypto casinos.
