New York bans dual-currency sweepstakes casinos by statute: S5935-A (2025), chapter 605, signed 2025-12-05, effective 2025-12-05. New section 912 bars operating, conducting or promoting online sweepstakes games that use a dual-currency system and simulate casino games, with fines of $10,000 to $100,000 per violation.
