Is Atomic Wallet safe? What its own terms say
Is Atomic Wallet safe to use for casino deposits?
Atomic Wallet's terms disclaim custody and access to your keys, so by their account only you can sign a deposit. Its terms name no gambling rule (atomicwallet.io, read 2026-10-07), which is an absence, not a permission. The terms name no company you contract with. 7 points are not verified. 1 primary-source incident is recorded. Liability: excluded for all loss.

Disclosure: CryptoGuardz has no commercial relationship with Atomic Wallet, earns nothing if you install it, and has not contacted the company or given it notice of this entry. Every statement below is either a verbatim quote from a document Atomic Wallet publishes or a statement about a public record, and both carry the date they were read. Corrections go to the corrections page.
1. What this means for you
Consequences first, in the conditional, each one produced by a clause in a document Atomic Wallet publishes itself. Every line links to that clause, quoted in full and dated. None of them is a claim that Atomic Wallet can move your coins on chain: the terms disclaim that power and this register takes them at their word on it.
- You are contracting with someone you cannot name if you use the swap, the on-ramp or the staking inside the app 3 sub-service clauses are recorded across 3 kinds of service, and most of the counterparties are identified in the terms only as a third party.
- Your on-ramp account can be blocked by a provider Atomic Wallet cannot see inside Buying with a card or bank transfer routes through a regulated intermediary that takes identity documents and applies its own compliance decisions.
- You cannot tell who to sue, because the binding document names no company No company name, number or registered address appears in the terms of service, the privacy notice or the about page. A choice of law is not a statement of incorporation.
- You are relying on a document that does not describe the product if you read only the terms The recovery model the marketing pages describe is not the recovery model the binding document describes.
2. What this entry records, and what it does not
This register publishes no number for a wallet. The payout score on the casino register has five defined components and a published arithmetic; no equivalent instrument exists here. What follows is a field-by-field account of what was read, where and when.
| Binding terms | Read in full3 clauses captured verbatim across 2 topics, retrieved 2026-10-07 |
|---|---|
| Contracting entity | Not disclosedNo company name, number or registered address appears in the terms of service, the privacy notice or the about page. |
| Custody position in the terms | Disclaims custody and disclaims access to key materialAsserted from the privacy policy, risk disclosure and AML/KYC policy, all of which state Atomic does not collect or store private keys, backup phrases or passwords. Not confirmed against the terms of service, which were not retrieved. Atomic's own June 2023 incident statement lists infrastructure breach and malware code injection among the possible causes it investigated. |
| Sub-services | 3 clauses recordedSwap · Fiat on-ramp · Staking. A count of recorded clauses, not of distinct companies. |
| Code audit | Not measuredNo security audit, source review or reproducible-build check has been carried out or read by this register. A wallet's safety is largely decided there, and nothing on this page speaks to it. |
| First-party test | Not measuredNo transaction has been signed, no swap executed and no recovery flow run through this product by this register. |
| Default node provider | Not disclosedNo RPC or node provider is named in any primary document retrieved. |
3. What we could not verify
Every entry carries this section. The gaps are published because a reader deserves the limits of the check as well as its results.
- The terms of service. https://atomicwallet.io/terms-of-service is disallowed by robots.txt; two attempts, both refused. The custody clause, termination, address-blocking, geographic restriction, liability cap, amendment, governing law, arbitration and gambling clauses of the binding document are therefore not recorded.
- The legal entity. No Atomic Wallet document retrieved names one. Atomic Protocol Systems OU, Estonia, is taken from litigation and is not verified against the Estonian business register.
- The order dismissing the Colorado class action. Reported as entered on 10 September 2024 for lack of personal jurisdiction over Atomic Protocol Systems OU and Evercode Infinite; the order itself could not be fetched (CourtListener search disallowed by robots.txt), so the dismissal is not recorded as an incident fact.
- The cause of the June 2023 drain. Atomic's statement does not confirm one; the FBI attributes the theft to an actor, not a mechanism.
- Whether Atomic compensated any affected user. No compensation statement was found in its incident statement.
- Any Estonian regulator notice concerning Atomic Wallet. Not searched successfully in this pass.
- The named staking validators and fiat on-ramp providers. Not named in the documents retrieved.
4. Who you are contracting with
The binding document names no company at all. This is the largest gap in this entry. A user cannot determine from the document that binds them who to sue, where a judgment would be enforced, or whose insolvency estate they would be a creditor of.
| Named counterparty | Not disclosedsource · retrieved 2026-10-07 |
|---|---|
| Jurisdiction | Estonia (Tallinn), as alleged in the complaint in Meany v. Atomic Wallet, D. Colo. No. 1:23-cv-1582. Not stated in any Atomic Wallet document retrieved. |
| Relationships disclosed | The legal dashboard states Atomic Wallet provides no virtual asset or financial services and that those services are provided by third-party service providers. The privacy policy names Changelly, ChangeNOW and Simplex as swap providers. |
Atomic Wallet does not provide any virtual asset services or any financial servicesatomicwallet.io
5. The custody claim, and what the binding document says
What Atomic Wallet says in the place a user reads, against what it says in the place that binds a user.
Atomic Wallet is a non-custodial decentralized wallet. It means that you own your backup phrase and private keys, thus, you fully control your funds. We have no access to your wallet.atomicwallet.io · 2026-10-07
Atomic Wallet does not collect or store any private keys, backup phrases or passwords.atomicwallet.io · 2026-10-07
Your private keys and backup are encrypted and never leave your deviceatomicwallet.io
Your private keys stay on your device.atomicwallet.io
The terms of service, the binding document, could not be retrieved. The position is taken from the privacy policy, which uses the same sentence as the risk disclosure and the AML/KYC policy.
6. Recovery, and where the terms and the marketing differ
| Cloud or hosted backup offered | no |
|---|---|
| What is stored | Nothing by Atomic, by its own policies. The user holds the backup phrase. The homepage states the private keys and backup are encrypted on the device. |
| Where | On the user's device and in the user's own record of the backup phrase. |
| Changes the custody position | no |
Atomic Wallet does not collect or store any private keys, backup phrases or passwords.atomicwallet.io
Not assessed. The terms of service could not be retrieved, so the binding document cannot be compared with the policies and homepage. The policies and the homepage are consistent with each other that Atomic holds no key material.
7. The app is not the wallet
3 clauses, each one a place where the product routes a user to a counterparty the user never contracts with by name, under terms the user never opens. The count is of recorded clauses and not of distinct companies: two entries can name the same counterparty and each still be a separate thing the terms permit.
third parties providing swaps services such as Changelly, ChangeNOW, and Simplexatomicwallet.io
AML/KYC Policy of our Third Party Service Providers might cover the following matters: Identity verification procedures, Transaction monitoring procedures, Card verificationatomicwallet.io
Virtual asset services are provided to Atomic Wallet' customers by third party service providers, which activities and services are beyond Atomic' control.atomicwallet.io
8. Withdrawing your access to the interface
Your keys are yours. The software you reach them through is licensed, and the licence can be withdrawn. 0 clauses are recorded on this point.
9. Who can block an address
Atomic Wallet claims no power to block an address in the documents read. No clause in the documents read discloses that another party in the stack can freeze or blacklist an address either. That is an absence of disclosure, not a guarantee that no such party exists.
10. What the terms say about gambling
Position recorded: not disclosed. No clause naming gambling, betting, casinos or wagering was found in the documents read. That is an absence in the documents, not a permission, and the general prohibition on unlawful use still applies.
The card side of the same question is on the card register, and the casino side on KYC on withdrawal.
11. Chains it names
Of the eight chains this register filters on, Atomic Wallet names 5: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Tron. Not named on the pages read: TON, Base, Polygon. The quoted homepage lines name assets by ticker: SOL is recorded as Solana, BNB as BNB Chain and TRX as Tron. The homepage also lists Polygon and Base wallets among its asset pages, but no quoted sentence naming them was captured, so they are not recorded. TON was not confirmed. The 5-20% APR figure is Atomic's marketing, not a verified rate.

Get rewards on staking ETH, ADA, BNB, SOL, TRX, NEAR, XTZ, HBAR and other coins with 5-20% APRatomicwallet.io
12. Liability, amendment, arbitration and where you can use it
The liability clause excludes liability for all loss rather than capping it at a figure. It is the clause that decides what the rest of the document is worth.
Atomic Wallet provides a Digital Asset wallet to manage your assets and doesn't take any responsibility for how you use it.atomicwallet.io
From the risk disclosure. The liability clause in the terms of service was not retrieved.
What the provider states it processes, and who it passes it to. Recorded because a wallet that never touches a key can still see every address you hold.
Exchange rates, balances, transactions, and other blockchain information may be read from or related to third-party serversatomicwallet.io
Atomic itself does not collect any personal users' dataatomicwallet.io
13. Public record
Matters of public record, taken from primary sources and stated with them. Both of the records below were disclosed by the provider itself or entered in a public vulnerability register, rather than found in the press.
Atomic Wallet users reported unauthorised outgoing transactions draining their wallets. Atomic's own statement said less than 0.1% of app users were affected, named no amount, did not confirm a cause, listed virus targeting on users' devices, infrastructure breach, malware code injection and a man-in-the-middle attack among the possibilities, and said it had engaged Chainalysis and Crystal. The FBI attributed a 100 million US dollar theft from Atomic Wallet on 2 June 2023 to DPRK TraderTraitor-affiliated actors, also known as Lazarus Group and APT38. A US class action filed on 21 June 2023 in the District of Colorado (Meany v. Atomic Wallet, No. 1:23-cv-1582) alleged losses of over 100 million US dollars and that the defendants knew of security vulnerabilities from 2022; these are allegations. No compensation statement was found in Atomic's statement.

14. Who should avoid Atomic Wallet
Anyone who needs to know who they are contracting with. The terms name no company, no number and no registered address, so there is no counterparty this register can point you at and no companies register in which to look one up.
