What the law says about a no KYC casino in the UK, and what fourteen operators' terms say to a UK player

In short, from the documents

Can a no KYC casino hold a UK licence?

No. Since 7 May 2019 the Gambling Commission has required a licensed site to verify a customer's name, address and date of birth before that customer is permitted to gamble. Of the fourteen crypto operators on the register, twelve name the United Kingdom as a restricted territory in their binding terms, and none holds a Gambling Commission licence.

A no KYC casino cannot hold a UK licence: since 7 May 2019 the Gambling Commission has required a licensed site to verify a customer's name, address and date of birth before that customer is permitted to gamble. Of the fourteen crypto operators on the register, twelve name the United Kingdom as a restricted territory in their binding terms, and none holds a Gambling Commission licence. The two that do not name the UK are both licensed in Curacao.

A site that lets a UK player deposit and play with no verification is therefore, by the Commission's own licence condition, not a site the Commission licenses. The search phrase "no KYC casino UK" asks for something the documents rule out on both sides.

What does UK law require before you can gamble online?

A verified name, address and date of birth, before the first bet. Licence condition 17.1.1 of the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice applies to all remote licences other than a short list of exceptions. Its first paragraph, retrieved from the Commission's site on 28 September 2026, reads:

Licensees must obtain and verify information in order to establish the identity of a customer before that customer is permitted to gamble. Information must include, but is not restricted to, the customer's name, address and date of birth.

The Commission's notice of 3 May 2019 fixed the start date: from Tuesday 7 May 2019, an operator that had not yet verified a customer's name, address and date of birth had to complete verification before allowing that customer to gamble, and had to prevent any unverified customer from gambling until it had. The same notice adds that operators cannot confiscate a customer's funds on the basis that ID was not provided in time.

Two more points from the same texts separate a licensed site from an offshore one. Paragraph 2 of the condition says a withdrawal request must not trigger a demand for additional information that the licensee could reasonably have requested earlier. And the Commission's fair and transparent terms guide tells licensees not to confiscate any part of a deposit balance because a consumer failed an identity or age check. Its example of what not to do is a clause allowing winnings to be removed if documents are not supplied within fourteen days.

The Great Britain position is the reverse of the offshore one documented on the no-KYC register. Verification is front-loaded by law, withdrawal-stage document demands are restricted, and forfeiture for failing a check is prohibited.

Which crypto casinos accept UK players?

Twelve of the fourteen on the register name the UK as restricted in their own terms, and the other two, Jackbit and Thunderpick, do not name it but hold no UK licence either. The licence column below comes from each entry's `licence` field, checked against the issuing register where one could be found. No entry names the Gambling Commission. The restricted column comes from each operator's own terms, retrieved on 2 September 2026.

Twelve of fourteen name the UK. Ten licences were confirmed in the Anjouan or Curacao registers; four rest on the operator's own statement and are marked as such on the licences page. Zero are Gambling Commission licences. Jackbit's terms restrict seven countries, all in eastern Europe, and Thunderpick's restrict Curacao, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the United States and sanctioned territories. Neither names the United Kingdom, and neither is licensed there.

For two of the Anjouan operators the exclusion goes beyond the contract. The Anjouan validator page for rakebit.com, generated 2 September 2026, records the licence itself as excluding the United Kingdom, and BC.GAME's terms defer to whatever the Anjouan authority prohibits. In those cases a UK player is outside the scope of the licence as well as the operator's terms.

What happens to a UK player's balance?

It depends on the consequence clause, and several reserve the balance outright. Rakebit's terms of use put the restriction as a warranty the player gives at sign-up:

The User guarantees at all times not to be a resident or citizen of countries including, but not limited to Cambodia, China, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Portugal, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States and its dependencies and territories, Yemen ("Prohibited countries"). Players from the following countries are not eligible to use the Website and play its games. Rakebit will make all reasonable efforts to prevent players from these countries from reaching the games.

Rakebit attaches no stated penalty to breaching that warranty. Others do, and the consequence language is where a UK account is most exposed, because the Commission's protections quoted above do not reach an unlicensed operator. From the same terms retrieved on 22 September 2026: Cloudbet reserves the right to close the account and confiscate the remaining balance without further explanation where a player has bet from a prohibited jurisdiction. Flush may void bets and withhold any money in the account including the deposit. Winz.io states that players violating the policy are not entitled to refunds or withdrawals. Sportsbet.io confiscates winnings and returns the deposited balance. Gamdom contemplates returning the deposit, subject to KYC. Wild.io says only that it cannot guarantee withdrawals. BetFury states no location-specific consequence at all. BC.GAME's and Roobet's clause bodies could not be read and are recorded as no data. The failed KYC piece sets the same deposit and winnings clauses side by side.

Condition 17.1.1 forbids taking a deposit for a failed check. Several of these terms reserve the whole balance for an account that turns out to be in the wrong country.

Can I play at a casino with no ID verification in the UK?

Not under a Gambling Commission licence, and an offshore operator does not remove the document request either. As the no-KYC terms piece found, eight of the fourteen require verification before a withdrawal and the other six reserve it at their discretion or at a threshold. The request arrives at the point where the LCCP says it should not, with consequences the LCCP does not allow.

Per-market restrictions for all fourteen are on the markets page, and the two operators quoted are at Rakebit and Cloudbet.

What this does not show

Nothing here says that a UK-located account has been closed or a balance taken by any of these operators. It says what the terms permit, retrieved on the dates shown, and those terms can change without notice. The register does not test enforcement, and no figure on this page counts an operator whose clause could not be read.

Quick answers

Is there a UK-licensed casino with no KYC?

No. Since 7 May 2019 licence condition 17.1.1 has required name, address and date of birth to be verified before any gambling, and none of the fourteen crypto operators on the licences page holds a Gambling Commission licence.

How many crypto casinos restrict UK players?

Twelve of fourteen name the United Kingdom in their own restricted list. The per-operator lists are on the markets page.

Can an offshore casino keep my deposit if I play from the UK?

Several terms allow it. Cloudbet may confiscate the remaining balance, and Flush may withhold money including the deposit, per terms retrieved on 22 September 2026. The full record is at Cloudbet.

Will an offshore casino still ask for ID?

Eight of fourteen require verification before a withdrawal, and the other six reserve it at their discretion or at a threshold, per the no-KYC register.
