Bitget review: licences, terms and gambling clause
Can you deposit to a casino from Bitget?
Not within its terms: Bitget's binding document lists gambling as a prohibited use, in Clause 11.1(v), Prohibited Use. Its terms let it freeze or suspend an account without prior notice. No registration is confirmed in an issuing register. 5 points are not verified. No primary-source incident is recorded. KYC rules: no data in this entry.

Disclosure: CryptoGuardz has no commercial relationship with Bitget, earns nothing if you open an account there, and has not contacted the company or given it notice of this entry. Every statement below is either a verbatim quote from a document Bitget publishes or a statement about a public register, and both carry the date they were read. Corrections go to the corrections page.
1. What this means for you
Consequences first, in the conditional, each one produced by a clause in a document Bitget publishes itself. Every line links to that clause, quoted in full and dated.
- Your account can be frozen if you send funds to a casino from Bitget The terms list gambling, casino games included, as a prohibited use with no licensing exception. The clause is quoted in section 10.
- Your account can be frozen without notice if Bitget decides it should be The suspension clause is discretionary and its list of grounds closes with a catch-all that swallows the list. The clause is quoted in full below.
- Your withdrawal can be suspended if Bitget decides an incident on the platform requires it The withdrawal clause sets no maximum duration and no external test for when an incident is resolved.
- Your coins can be pooled with everyone else's if Bitget holds them the way its terms describe The terms state assets are not segregated on-chain, are recorded on an internal ledger, and that Bitget is not a trustee and owes no trustee duties.
- You cannot tell what happens to your coins if Bitget fails, because the binding document does not say There is no insolvency clause in the terms. A reader is left to infer their position as an unsecured creditor from a document that declines to state it.
- Your positions can be closed and your assets sold or converted if Bitget decides to do it The liquidation clause operates in the exchange's absolute discretion, without further instruction from you.
- You have no authority to complain to if something goes wrong, because no registration could be confirmed No authorisation claimed by Bitget was found in an issuing authority's own public register.
- You cannot rely on the proof of reserves as an audit, because nobody outside Bitget signed it No accountant, auditor or attestation firm is named, no engagement standard is referenced, and nothing in the exercise addresses what the exchange owes.
2. What this entry records, and what it does not
This register publishes no number for an exchange. The payout score on the casino register has five defined components and a published arithmetic; no equivalent instrument exists here, and inventing one to fill the space would be a measurement nobody made. What follows instead is a field-by-field account of what was read, where it was read and when.
| Binding terms | Read in full 13 clauses captured verbatim across 7 topics, retrieved 2026-09-22 |
|---|---|
| Contracting entity | BTG Technology Holdings LimitedNo jurisdiction of incorporation stated in the binding document · no company number stated |
| Registration check | Nothing confirmed in any issuing registerESMA interim MiCA register, published CSV, read 2026-09-22 |
| Proof of reserves | Published, self-signedSigner: Bitget itself. |
| Insolvency outcome | Not disclosedThe binding document contains no insolvency clause. This is an absence in their document, not a gap in our reading. |
| Withdrawal test | Not measuredNo first-party deposit or withdrawal has been run against this exchange. It would require funding an account, which this register has not done. Until it has, nothing here is a measurement of how fast the exchange pays. |
| On-chain reserve verification | Not measuredNo independent reconstruction of the Merkle tree or of the exchange's wallet holdings has been attempted. |
3. What we could not verify
Every entry carries this section. The gaps are published because a reader deserves the limits of the check as well as its results.
- The jurisdiction of incorporation and company number of BTG Technology Holdings Limited. Neither appears in the Terms of Use and no companies register entry was located, so the contracting entity could not be confirmed in any register.
- Every registration Bitget claims. None was confirmed in the issuing authority's own public register. The AUSTRAC digital currency exchange register would not serve a public list to an unauthenticated client and the El Salvador CNAD register was not located.
- What happens to customer digital assets if Bitget itself becomes insolvent. The Terms of Use contain an extensive clause on the user's insolvency and none at all on Bitget's. The only related statement is the segregation clause quoted above, which says assets are pooled on-chain and that Bitget owes no trustee duties.
- The as-of date and reserve ratio of the current proof of reserves. At retrieval the page rendered with a total reserve ratio of 0%, no Merkle root and the text No reserve data available yet.
- Whether any independent party has ever examined the Bitget proof of reserves. No attestation report, engagement letter or signer is published on the page.
4. Who you are contracting with
The counterparty named in the binding document, not the brand on the website. This is the company a claim would be brought against and whose insolvency estate a user would be a creditor of.

|---|---|
| Jurisdiction of incorporation | Not disclosedNo place of incorporation is stated in the binding document read. What the document does say is in the notes below. |
| Company number | Not disclosedNo company number appears in the binding document, so the entity cannot be looked up in any companies register from that document alone. |
The Terms of Use, last updated 15 September 2026, open with the sentence: "BTG Technology Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as \"Bitget\" or \"we\") operates the Platform (defined below) and provides the Services (defined below)." That is the only place in the binding document where a legal person is named.
The Terms of Use give no jurisdiction of incorporation, no company number and no registered address for BTG Technology Holdings Limited. A full text search of the document for the words registered office, registered address, incorporated, company number and Seychelles returns nothing. The contracting entity therefore cannot be looked up in any companies register from the binding document alone.
The brand Bitget and the contracting entity BTG Technology Holdings Limited are not the same name. Nothing on the terms page connects the two beyond the definition sentence above.
These Terms shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Hong Kong without regard to any choice or conflict of laws rules.bitget.com
5. Registrations, claimed and confirmed
No registration Bitget claims could be found in an issuing authority's own public register. That is an absence of confirmation, not evidence that a registration is invalid. The Bitget Terms of Use, the document that actually binds a retail user, names no regulator and claims no licence or registration anywhere in its text. Every registration Bitget claims is claimed outside the binding document, on blog and marketing pages.
| Authority | Kind | Confirmed | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| European Securities and Markets Authority (MiCA register of authorised crypto-asset service providers) | authorisation | no | Not applicable. Bitget makes no MiCA authorisation claim. This row records a negative check: the official ESMA interim MiCA register of authorised crypto-asset service providers, 417 rows, last updated 16 September 2026, was downloaded and searched. Neither the string Bitget nor the string BTG appears anywhere in it. Bitget holds no EU CASP authorisation. |
| Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) digital currency exchange register | authorisation | no | A digital currency exchange registration is an anti-money-laundering reporting registration. It is not a licence to operate an exchange and carries no prudential, custody or client-money requirement. Not confirmed: the AUSTRAC public register at the URL recorded here redirects to a login page that requires JavaScript and does not serve a public searchable list to an unauthenticated client. The claim is recorded as claimed and unconfirmed. |
| Comision Nacional de Activos Digitales, El Salvador (Digital Asset Service Provider) | authorisation | no | Claimed by Bitget on its own blog. Not confirmed: no CNAD public register was located and loaded, so no register URL is recorded. Recorded as claimed and unconfirmed. |
6. Proof of reserves
Bitget publishes a proof of reserves and signs it itself. No accountant, auditor or attestation firm is named, no engagement standard is referenced, and what is published is a cryptographic snapshot the exchange produces about itself. It says nothing about what the exchange owes.
| Signer | Bitget itself. No independent accountant, auditor or attestation firm is named anywhere on the proof of reserves page. |
|---|---|
| Standard | None stated. The page describes a monthly Merkle tree snapshot. It is not an assurance engagement and no engagement standard, such as an agreed-upon-procedures engagement under ISRS 4400 or an attestation under AT-C, is referenced. |
| As of | No dataNo as-of date could be read from the page at retrieval. |
| Covers liabilities | noNothing in the exercise addresses borrowings, loan obligations, off-chain claims, or whether the set of user balances in the tree is complete. |
| Page | bitget.comretrieved 2026-09-22 |
Proof of Reserves is a transparency audit mechanism for cryptocurrency exchanges. Through cryptographic verification and regular asset audits, it proves that the total assets held by the platform are no less than the sum of all users' assets, ensuring the security of user funds.bitget.com
There is no scope limitation on the Bitget proof of reserves page. The quote recorded above is the only description of what the exercise is, and it is a claim of coverage rather than a limitation. No document disclaiming liabilities, off-chain obligations, borrowed assets or the completeness of the user liability set was found.
At retrieval the page rendered with Total reserve ratio 0%, the label Reserves to be synchronized, Merkle Tree root node hash value shown as two dashes, and the text No reserve data available yet. No as-of date could be read from the page, so as_of is null.
7. Custody, segregation and insolvency
What the binding document says about where your coins sit and what happens to them if the exchange fails, quoted rather than characterised.
We record in your Account the quantity and type of Digital Assets that are held to your credit. Such Digital Assets will not be segregated on-chain in different wallets from Digital Assets held to the credit of other users or Digital Assets maintained by Bitget for business purposes. An internal ledger is used to record the quantity and type of Digital Assets a customer is entitled to. Each user will have a ledger-based off-chain account or sub-account with a unique identifier (UID) and associated login credentials, against which the relevant user credit balances are recorded. Bitget is not a trustee of, and does not owe any trustee duties in relation to, any Digital Assets held to your credit.bitget.com
There is no clause in Bitget’s terms describing what happens to customer digital assets if Bitget itself becomes insolvent. A user is left to infer that they are an unsecured creditor from a document that declines to say so. The absence is recorded as Not disclosed: it is a gap in their document, not in our reading of it.
8. Freezing your account
4 clauses, quoted in the order they appear in the document. Read the last one first: it is the ground that swallows the others.

(b) terminate, suspend, or restrict your access to any or all of the Services; (c) terminate, suspend, close, hold or restrict your access to any or all of your Accounts, or any part of any Account; (d) restrict your ability to withdraw any Digital Assets from any Account;bitget.com

(xvi) there is any other valid reason which we reasonably believe there is a need to do so.bitget.com
9. Suspending withdrawals
We may not process a withdrawal request if, in our opinion, we consider that Applicable Law prevents the execution of the relevant withdrawal. We may also suspend withdrawals at such time deemed appropriate by us to resolve any incidents on the Platform. We will resume withdrawals once such incidents have been resolved.bitget.com
10. Sending funds to a casino from Bitget
Bitget's terms prohibit gambling as a category, with no exception for a licensed casino. A deposit sent from Bitget to a crypto casino is a prohibited use under the clause below.
(v) use Services to conduct or participate in lotteries, gambling activities, bidding fee auctions, sports forecasting or odds making, fantasy sports leagues with cash prizes, internet gaming, contests, sweepstakes, or games of chance;bitget.com
Clause 11.1 lists what the user agrees they "will not" do. Item (v) covers gambling and internet gaming without a lawful or licensed qualifier. The Terms of Use were re-read on 28 September 2026 for this field.
11. Which networks Bitget withdraws USDT on
No dataThe network list could not be confirmed. See the note below.
Bitget's public coins endpoint lists these USDT chains, but returned withdrawable "false" for every one of them to this register's request, which came from a United States address. Whether withdrawals are enabled for a user elsewhere could not be confirmed, so no chain is counted. Source. Which DEXes operate on each of those chains is in the DEX register.
12. Amendment, liquidation, arbitration and governing law
The clauses that decide what the contract can become, what can be done to an open position, and where a dispute would be heard.
Bitget can make amendments to these Terms and any terms and conditions incorporated by reference (including any Product Terms) at any time and your continued use of the Services constitutes your consent to such amendments.bitget.com
By accessing the Platform and/or using the Services, it is deemed that you have read and irrevocably agreed to these Terms, as may be modified and/or supplemented by Bitget from time to time without prior notice.bitget.com
(g) liquidate, accelerate, and/or close out any instructions, trades, positions and/or Transactions which are open or outstanding by determining its value in good faith and in our absolute discretion as of the date of such liquidation, acceleration or close-out as soon as we deem appropriate;bitget.com
(h) at such times and in such manner as Bitget may reasonably determine, sell, force-sell or otherwise transfer any Digital Assets or other property which Bitget may hold on your behalf or which has been transferred to Bitget by you and apply the proceeds to the discharge of your obligations, subject to Bitget’s rights of set-off in accordance with this Agreement or otherwise under these Terms or Applicable Laws, without further instruction or sanction from you;bitget.com
Any claim to be brought by you arising out of or related to these Terms must commence arbitration proceedings strictly within one year after such claim arises failing which it shall be irrevocably time-barred. Time-barred claims mean that there is no longer any lawful right to assert such claims nor to commence any formal legal action.bitget.com
(vi) the arbitrator may conduct only an individual arbitration and may not: consolidate more than one individual's claims; preside over any type of class or representative proceeding; and preside over any proceeding involving more than one individual.bitget.com
13. Public record
No incident is recorded for Bitget. That is not a clean bill of health. It means no primary source, meaning a regulator action, a court filing or a company post-mortem, was retrieved within this collection. Absence of a record here is the absence of a search result.
14. Who should avoid Bitget
Anyone who needs an authority to complain to. No registration Bitget claims could be confirmed in an issuing register, so there is no supervisory body this register can point a user at when something goes wrong. And anyone who wants to know, before depositing, where they would stand if the exchange failed: the document does not answer that question.
